Equipment Rental in Nallikari, Oulu – Everything by the Sea, Year-Round
Spend your free time or your holiday in Nallikari without heavy luggage or your own sports gear. Nallikari is the seaside beach and holiday area of Oulu, a coastal city in Northern Finland on the Gulf of Bothnia, about 15 minutes from the city centre. Here you can rent everything you need right by the sea, all year round: kayaks, SUP boards and city bikes in summer, skis, snowshoes and kicksleds in winter, and fatbikes in every season. Just pick your activity, book, and come on over.

The summer season runs roughly from April to October, depending on the year’s weather and snow conditions.
Kayaks and canoes
Kayaking in Oulu shows the city and sea from a whole new perspective. Our fleet is made up of beginner-friendly Rainbow Oasis single and double kayaks with storage hatches, footrests and a deck net. The Jopo is a classic, easy-to-ride Finnish city bike – perfect for cruising the Nallikari seaside boulevard and the river-delta cycle paths into the city centre. Pick up from the Nallikari Safaris service point.

Winter gear (November–April)
The winter season runs roughly from November to April, depending on snow. Skis, snowshoes and kicksleds are rented from Nallikari Holiday Village reception during opening hours and cannot be booked in advance.
Cross-country skis
The nearest maintained ski track (City of Oulu) is just 200 metres from the Holiday Village.

Do I need to book in advance?
Kayaks, SUP boards, fatbikes and city bikes are booked online in advance. Winter gear (skis, snowshoes, kicksleds) and beach gear can’t be pre-booked – you get them on the spot during opening hours.
Do I need my own gear or previous experience?
Neither. The equipment is beginner-friendly, and water gear always includes a life vest and a quick intro.
What’s included in a rental?
Kayaks include a paddle, spray deck and life vest; SUP boards include a paddle, life vest and a quick intro. Fatbike's include helmet!
When can I rent?
Year-round. Summer gear is available roughly April–October and winter gear November–April, depending on weather and snow. Fatbikes are available in every season.
