The Nallikari Safaris office is open during winter holiday week 10 from Tuesday to Saturday, March 4–8, from 11 AM to 3 PM. No need for advance bookings! Rent kayaks, stand-up paddleboards (SUP), city bikes and fatbikes during the summer and snowshoes, sliding snowshoes and fatbikes during the winter. Fatbikes
Fatbikes are stable, wide-tired bicycles suitable for cycling in soft and unstable terrain, such as snow, sand, swamps, or mud.
Reservations for fatbikes should be made through Nallikari Safari’s online store. Pickup is available at Nallikari Holiday Village reception Leiritie 10 during opening hours.

Nallikari Holiday Village offers guests the opportunity to borrow outdoor games and sports equipment from the reception.
The equipment is available for use at the reception during opening hours. There is no advance reservation option for the equipment.

The winter season runs from November to April, depending on the snow conditions.

Cross-Country Skis
Cross-country skiing is one of the most traditional way to stay active during the winter in Finland. It helps improve physical fitness, balance, and coordination while allowing you to enjoy the winter landscapes and fresh air.
You can rent cross-country skis at the Nallikari Holiday Village reception during opening hours. Skis cannot be rented in advance. The nearest maintained skiing trail is within 200 meters of the Holiday Village.

Sliding snowshoes
Sliding snowshoes are a modern blend of snowshoes and skis. Similar to snowshoes, they distribute weight over a larger area to prevent sinking into deep snow. Their ski-like shape allows for gliding on top of the snow, making movement easier compared to traditional snowshoes.
Reservations for sliding snowshoes should be made in advance through Nallikari Safari’s online store. Pickup is available at the Nallikari Safaris experience center located at Nallikari Aalto hotel.

Snowshoes
Snowshoeing is a winter sport where special snowshoes are used for movement in snowy terrain. Snowshoes distribute the weight over a larger surface area, preventing sinking deep into the snow and making it easier to move in soft powder. This enables outdoor activities in snowy areas where movement would otherwise be challenging. Snowshoeing is a popular hobby and form of exercise in winter regions and you should try it too!
You can rent snowshoes at Nallikari Safaris experience center located in the Aalto hotel building.

Kick sleds
Kick Sledding is a winter sport where a person moves on a sled by kicking their feet on snow or ice. The kick sled consists of a seat and a steering handle, and movement is achieved by pushing oneself with the feet on the ground or in the snow. The sport provides a fun way to move in a snowy environment and is a popular form of exercise.
You can rent kick sleds at the Nallikari Holiday Village reception during opening hours. Kick sleds cannot be booked in advance.

Bike Rental in Oulu!
Jopos are convenient city bikes for exploring Nallikari’s beach boulevard and the pedestrian streets leading to the city center along the river side.
Bike rental in Oulu is available at the Nallikari Holiday Village reception during opening hours and Nallikari Safaris office in Nallikari Aalto.

Kayaks
Kayaking in Oulu is enjoyable and offers cityscapes from a completely new perspective.
Nallikari’s kayaking equipment consists of Rainbow Oasis single and double kayaks and fishing kayaks suitable for beginners. The kayaks have front and rear luggage hatches, 4-point footrests and a deck net. The kayak rental also includes a paddle, a hole cover and a general-size life jacket.
Reservations should be made through Nallikari Safari’s online store. Pickup is from the Nallikari Safaris experience center downstairs of Nallikari Aalto hotel.
Stand-Up Paddleboards (SUP)
A SUP board is a water sports equipment that resembles a large floating board. It offers a versatile way to move on the water while enjoying nature and the scenery. SUP boarding is suitable for people of different ages and skill levels.
SUP boards are available for rent at the Nallikari Safaris experience center located in Nallikari Aalto hotel. Rental includes a paddle, life jacket, safety instructions, and a quick introduction to SUP boarding.
