Iconic blue bathing huts, a lifeguard tower, and the Nallikari lighthouse with its stunning views adorn the landscape.

Vauhtipuisto amusement park delights all ages

Vauhtipuisto is a charming amusement park that has been delighting families for three generations. For over 40 years, it has won local hearts with its carousels, bouncy castles, and miniature village. Vauhtipuisto offers snacks at its kiosks and a delicious buffet at Restaurant Huvilinna.

A wristband for Vauhtipuisto includes a free ride on the Potnapekka city train, a fun experience for both kids and adults. Potnapekka transports visitors between Nallikari, Vauhtipuisto, and the city center. Tickets for Potnapekka can also be purchased separately from the driver for city excursions.

Active fun with kids

Nallikari Safaris equipment rental and adventure center, located on the ground floor of Nallikari Aalto, offers gear for spontaneous active days with kids. Equipment includes a fat bike for cyclists at least 125cm tall and several bikes for those at least 155cm tall. You can also rent kayaks that fit a parent and child together. Nallikari Safaris rents out SUP boards and various beach gear. Guided tours with an instructor are also available.

You can reach Oulu’s city center from Nallikari by bus No. 15, Potnapekka city train, or rental bike via bike paths.

By car, you can easily reach many interesting destinations along the Pohjola Route in less than two hours. Family favorites include the Liminka Bay Visitor Centre with birdwatching towers, the roaring Koitelinkoski rapids with picnic spots, and Hailuoto, known for its long sandy beaches and island life.
