Reception is open every day all year round

Nallikari Holiday Village reception is open every day and also serves during Christmas and New Year from December 24th to 25th, from 11 am to 4 pm, otherwise normally from 9 am to 9 pm.

From the reception, you can rent equipment such as skis, kicksleds, snowshoes, ice skates, and fat bikes. Equipment is available for hourly rentals as well as for several days at a time. Sleds and sliders are available for guests to borrow. For the most up-to-date availability information on all equipment, it is best to inquire directly at the reception.

Nallikari Treasure Hunt entertains families with children

Nallikari Treasure Hunt is a favorite activity for children, where they independently search for diamonds with letters in the Nallikari area. Instructions for the adventure are available at the reception. Those who decipher the secret message of the diamonds are rewarded at the reception. The activity is intended for Holiday Village guests.

Christmas treats from K-Supermarket Toppila

K-Supermarket Toppila is located about 1.5 kilometers from the Holiday Village and offers a comprehensive delicatessen, a restaurant, a sushi counter, a café, and postal services in addition to grocery services. Pharmacy special opening hours

Toppilan Sivuapteekki pharmacy, located next to K-Supermarket Toppila, serves around the holidays from December 20th to 22nd, from 9 am to 8 pm, on December 23rd from 10 am to 6 pm, and on December 31st from 10 am to 4 pm. Yliopiston apteekki pharmacy also serves during the holidays at Isokatu 27. Opening hours on December 24th from 8 am to 6 pm, on December 25th from 10 am to 9 pm, and on December 26th from 10 am to 9 pm.

Nallikari restaurants quiet down for Christmas celebrations

Restaurants operating in the Nallikari area quiet down for the holidays and serve during the interim days as follows:

Nallikari Bakery & Bistro:
Open from December 7th to 22nd, from 8 am to 3 pm, and from December 27th to 29th, from 8 am to 3 pm. The restaurant is closed from December 23rd to 26th and from December 30th onward

Ravintola Nallikari:
Open from December 11th to 22nd, from 11 am to 3 pm (Christmas lunch), and on December 30th, from 12 pm to 4 pm. On January 2nd, 2024, from 11 am to 10 pm, on January 3rd to 5th, 2024, from 11 am to 11 pm, and on January 6th, 2024, from 12 pm to 4 pm. The restaurant is closed from December 23rd to 29th and from December 31st to January 1st.

Christmas charm in Oulu

Oulu city center is about 3.5 kilometers from Nallikari. Toripolliisi, located on Oulu Market Square, is available every day and gladly receives Christmas wishes. It is also worth visiting the Tiernatori Christmas Forest located in Kauppurien aukio square, which can be explored between December 7th and 26th. The opening hours of restaurants and shops in downtown Oulu should be confirmed directly from the businesses’ websites.

Travel to and from downtown with public transportation

Oulu public transportation line 15 runs between Nallikari and downtown. The Nallikari stop is located in front of the old spa hotel Eden. On Christmas Eve, December 24th, buses run according to Sunday schedules. Departures starting after 3:59 pm are not operated. On December 26th, and on January 6th, buses run according to Sunday schedules.

On Christmas Day, December 25th, buses do not operate, but Oulu’s most beautiful pedestrian and cycling paths lead to the city center. Along the way, you’ll encounter the landscapes of Oulu’s river estuary and the historic Pikisaari with its beautiful wooden houses.
